The Federal Reserve System (Fed) is the central bank of the United States. The dutues of the Federal reserve are to conduct monetary policy, to supervise and regulate banking institutions, to maintain the stability of the financial system, and to provide financial services to depository institutions, the U.S. government and foreign official institutions.
